Regent Dental, perfectly situated in the heart of Douglas Town Centre, is expanding. We are thrilled to offer a full-time, permanent opportunity for a skilled Orthodontic Therapist to join our dynamic team.
Our clinic provides a healthy mix of both private and NHS care, specializing in fixed braces and clear aligners. You will be working collaboratively alongside a highly skilled Specialist Orthodontist and another experienced Orthodontic Therapist in a supportive, forward thinking environment
Responsibilities
- Assist orthodontists during patient consultations, procedures, and adjustments to ensure smooth and efficient treatment sessions
- Prepare patients for treatment by explaining procedures, ensuring comfort, and maintaining a positive experience
- Take and process dental impressions, photographs, and intraoral scans using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software to assist in treatment planning
- Manage and maintain medical imaging records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality at all times
- Support patients with appliance placement, adjustments, and instructions for home care to optimize treatment outcomes
- Monitor patient progress through regular check-ups, documenting changes and updating treatment plans accordingly
- Maintain sterilization protocols, manage clinical supplies, and ensure the cleanliness of all treatment areas
Experience
- Proven experience as an Orthodontic Therapist or Dental Therapist with a focus on orthodontics preferred
- Strong knowledge of anatomy relevant to orthodontic treatments and dental structures
- Familiarity with CAD software used for designing orthodontic appliances or digital treatment planning tools
- Experience working with medical imaging techniques pertinent to orthodontics such as intraoral scans or radiographs
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients about their treatments effectively
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment
