Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Lead to join our team, providing essential support to individuals in need of assistance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to seniors and those requiring additional help in a luxurious private care home setting. This role requires strong communication skills, leadership abilities, and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our residents.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation.
- Supporting the Unit Managers in leading a team of dedicated carers.
- Develop and implement individual care plans tailored to each resident’s needs.
- Supervise and monitor residents to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals regarding care needs and progress.
- Drive residents to appointments or social activities as required.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in resident condition to the appropriate personnel.
- Foster a warm and supportive environment that promotes independence and dignity for all residents.
- Provide timely supervision and appraisals to the staff team.
Experience
- Previous experience in care or a similar role is preferred but not essential.
- Hold a valid SVQ qualification or be willing to work towards achieving this.
- Strong IT skills for managing care plans and documentation are advantageous.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to supervise other staff members effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are crucial for interacting with residents and their families.
- A valid driving license is desirable for transporting residents when necessary.
