Senior Soft Fruit Growing Assistant.
Boxford (Suffolk) Farms Ltd is seeking a motivated, reliable, and hardworking individual to join our Soft Fruit Production team as a Senior Soft Fruit Growing Assistant.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced grower looking to further develop their career within a progressive and quality-focused business.
Reporting directly to the Soft Fruit Growing Manager, the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the production of high-quality soft fruit crops.
You will be involved in implementing effective growing systems and ensuring all crop husbandry tasks are completed to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting crop production and husbandry operations
- Delivering timely and accurate irrigation and fertigation
- Assisting with spraying operations (if qualified)
- Monitoring and managing pest and disease control
- Ensuring high standards of crop quality and productivity
- Undertaking additional duties as reasonably required
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience in soft fruit growing
- Crop irrigation experience
- Good English communication skills
- Professional attitude and strong work ethic
- Excellent attention to detail
- Right to Work in the UK
- Full driving licence
Additional Information
- Workload varies depending on season
- 40–48 hours per week
- Overtime available (up to 60 hours per week)
- Overtime paid at time and a quarter after 48 hours
- Weekend work required
- 28 days holiday (pro rata)
- Hourly paid – rate dependent on experience
- On-site accommodation available (if required)
