Overview
We are looking for front of house staff for a busy indepedent public house. Your main role will be bar and restaurant, delivering a high standard to our customers. You must have a friendly yet professional personality. You will be a strong team player with a desire to provide excellent customer service. You will be involved in all aspects of the food and beverage department, serving customers in the restaurant, bar and events and clearing down/setting up areas.
Over the age of 18 years old with previous bar and restaurant experience

Duties
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
- Take accurate food and drink orders using POS systems
- Serve meals and beverages promptly while ensuring presentation standards are met
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations to guests, upselling where appropriate
- Check in with guests during their meal to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns
- Clear tables efficiently and reset for incoming guests
- Maintain cleanliness of service areas, including tables, counters, and side stations
- Follow food safety standards and hygiene regulations at all times
- Assist in food preparation or kitchen tasks if required during quieter periods
- Handle guest queries professionally and resolve issues promptly to ensure guest satisfaction
Requirements
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is preferred but not essential; a friendly attitude and willingness to learn are vital
- Knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation techniques
- Strong organisational skills with excellent time management abilities
- Good communication skills with the ability to engage with diverse guests effectively
- Basic maths skills for handling bills and payments accurately
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Kitchen or culinary experience is a plus but not mandatory
- A genuine passion for guest services and creating positive dining experiences
