About the Role
We are seeking to appoint a Programme Administrative Assistant to join the team providing key administrative and financial management support across the Eric and Wendy Schmidt AI in Science Fellowship Programme portfolio; The Schmidt AI in Science Fellowship Programme and the African-India-Oxford AI in Science Faculty Fellowship Programme which supports faculty from institutions in Africa and India. Together, these programmes deliver cutting-edge AI training, research opportunities, and cohort-based development experiences to fellows across diverse scientific disciplines.
This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with strong administrative and finance experience to make a significant contribution to the successful delivery and ongoing development of these high-profile multi-million-pound Schmidt Futures funded initiatives. Working closely with the Programme Manager and other team members, you will support all aspects of the programme, including recruiting fellows, the administrative organisation of the training programme, event planning and delivery and financial transactions such as purchasing, casual teaching payments and expense claims.
About You
You will have relevant experience in administration and finance, working to deadlines with attention to detail and accuracy. You will possess excellent IT, organisational and communication skills with an interest in process improvement and a strong team ethic.
