Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Qualified Dental Nurse to join our dental practice. The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care, assist the dental team during procedures, and ensure the smooth operation of daily clinic activities. Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilise instruments in accordance with health and safety standards
- Provide pre- and post-treatment care instructions to patients
- Maintain accurate patient records using IT systems and ensure confidentiality at all times
- Support patients through appointment scheduling, reminders, and follow-up communications
- Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the dental practice environment
- Handle administrative duties such as managing stock levels of dental supplies and equipment
- Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and external healthcare professionals to facilitate seamless care delivery
Experience
- Previous experience as a Dental Nurse or in a similar healthcare support role is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Knowledge of patient care protocols within a dental setting
- Proficiency in IT systems relevant to healthcare documentation and appointment management
- Strong communication skills to interact empathetically with patients and team members
- Organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is required to ensure clear communication with patients and staff
