Clock Barn wedding venue is currently recruiting for a Cleaning and Accommodation Supervisor to be a central role in ensuring the venue is fully turned around between weddings.
Reporting to the Accommodation Manager, the role will be part of a team of people ensuring that the venue is fully set up and ready for couples and their guests to have an incredible wedding day.
Supporting the current cleaning team, the successful candidate will need to be able to ensure 5* cleaning standards are maintained, give direction if things are being missed, and get stuck in helping with deep cleaning specific areas between weddings. They will also need to be highly focused on customer service, as they will be regularly asked to help support with check-in and breakfast preparation and service.
The successful candidate will need to be enthusiastic, extremely hard working, highly organised with good communication skills, have an eye for detail and a personable and friendly outlook.
Responsibilities will include;
- Overseeing the daily set-up of the accommodation and venue to ensure that it is always ‘wedding-ready’ and cleaned to the highest of standards
- Supporting the Accommodation Manager with delivering briefings and leading the Housekeeping Team to ensure the accommodation is ready for check-in
- Cleaning and arranging rooms, to the wedding day requirements, including the correct linen and bed arrangement set up
- Hoovering, mopping and treating floors to maintain their durability
- Dusting furniture or fixtures and polishing them
- Scrubbing and sanitising showers, bathtubs, toilets, countertops and sinks
- Unpacking linen deliveries
- Taking ownership of the linen and bedding onsite by conducting regular stock takes
- Collecting lost property and registering it with the Venue Office
- Ensuring all housekeeping items are fully cleaned and restocked
- Overseeing and completing the daily/weekly/monthly checklists
- Completing amenities stocktakes and placing orders
- Assisting with Health and Safety checks and procedures
- Escalating any maintenance issues to the Management Team
- Preparing and hosting continental breakfast during stays, where required
- Checking in wedding guests to accommodation, where required
- Where possible, supporting the Sales Team in off-peak months
This role is a full-time permanent position and the normal working hours include weekends. The successful candidate would be working as part of a friendly yet small team so full flexibility with working hours, especially during our peak season is required. Pay: From £27,000.00 per year
