Duties
- Support children with daily routines, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and recreational activities
- Develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each child's needs, interests, and goals
- Foster open communication with children, encouraging their expression of feelings and thoughts in a safe space
- Assist with transportation needs by driving children to appointments, school, or activities as required
- Monitor and record progress, behavior, and milestones to ensure continuous development and well-being
- Collaborate closely with colleagues, families, and external professionals to provide consistent support
- Maintain a safe environment by adhering to health and safety policies, conducting regular checks, and managing risk effectively
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children in a childcare or support setting is highly desirable
- Valid driving license with clean driving record; ability to drive children safely is essential
- Strong childcare skills with an understanding of child development principles
- Experience creating and managing care plans tailored to individual needs
- Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with children, families, and team members
- Proficiency in IT systems for documentation, reporting, and communication purposes
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond appropriately in challenging situations
