About the Role
Radiant Childcare & Nursery is seeking an enthusiastic, experienced and passionate Nursery Manager to lead our new nursery. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the nursery, ensuring high standards of care, education, safeguarding and regulatory compliance are maintained at all times.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the daily operation of the nursery.
- Ensure full compliance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Framework and Ofsted requirements.
- Create a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
- Support children's learning, development and wellbeing.
- Manage, motivate and supervise the nursery team.
- Conduct staff inductions, supervision meetings and annual appraisals.
- Maintain accurate records and children's learning journals.
- Develop positive relationships with parents and carers.
- Manage occupancy and support nursery growth.
- Monitor staffing ratios and deployment.
- Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed at all times.
- Oversee health and safety, risk assessments and hygiene standards.
- Work alongside the Director to achieve continuous improvement and prepare for Ofsted inspections.
- Manage budgets, resources and nursery equipment effectively.
Essential Requirements
- Level 3 Early Years qualification (minimum).
- At least 2 years' experience working in an early years setting.
- Previous experience leading or supervising a nursery team.
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS Framework.
- Excellent safeguarding knowledge.
- Good understanding of Ofsted requirements.
- Paediatric First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain before starting).
- Enhanced DBS check suitable for childcare.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Desirable
- Level 5 qualification in Early Years Leadership or above.
- Experience managing an Ofsted-registered nursery.
- SENCO experience.
- Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) training.
- Experience using nursery management software such as Famly .
