We are seeking a dedicated and versatile Housekeeper/Cook to join our team and can offer flexibility in how the role is structured:
- One postholder: 5-day working week
- Two postholders (job share): Extended to provide 7-day cover, including weekends

What you’ll be doing
As our Housekeeper / Cook, you’ll be at the heart of the home.
- Preparing nutritious meals for up to 25 residents.
- Planning menus that reflect the residents needs and preferences.
- Maintaining a clean, comfortable space, your work will directly impact the wellbeing and dignity of our residents, so keeping the kitchen safe and well organised is vital.
- Managing stock, ordering supplies and reducing waste where possible.
- You will be working in partnership with the cleaner to ensure all communal areas and bedrooms are clean, organised, and in good repair.
- Supporting laundry systems and ensuring high housekeeping standards
- Helping with basic checks to keep the building safe and compliant
- Catering for in house events, such as our yearly open days and religious and other festivals
You will work closely with a supportive and dedicated team.
Who we’re looking for
You don’t need to come from an Approved Premises background, but you do need to care.
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Practical, organised and takes pride in their work
- Confident cooking for groups and managing a busy kitchen
- Knowledgeable about food hygiene and safety (qualifications would be preferrable)
- Warm, approachable and respectful of boundaries
- Reliable, flexible and a strong team player
