Location: Wirral Automotive Services, 86 Shrewsbury Road, Prenton CH43 6TF
Job type: Full-Time, Monday to Friday 08:00 to 17:30. Part time/flexible working considered.

We are a well-established independent and reputable Volvo specialist with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality servicing, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs. Due to continued growth, we are looking for a skilled and motivated Vehicle Technician to join our experienced team.
The Role
As a Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on various vehicles to the highest standards. You will work on a variety of models, including modern petrol, diesel, hybrid, and electric vehicles, ensuring excellent workmanship and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out servicing, repairs, and maintenance in accordance with manufacturer standards.
- Diagnose and accurately rectify mechanical and electrical faults.
- Perform vehicle health checks and inspections.
- Conduct MOT tests and identify any remedial work required.
- Work on hybrid and electric vehicle systems safely and effectively.
- Use diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve complex faults.
- Complete all job cards and workshop documentation accurately.
- Support workshop efficiency while maintaining a high standard of work.
- Adhere to all health and safety procedures within the workshop.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum Level 3 NVQ, IMI, City & Guilds, or equivalent qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
- Current MOT Tester qualification.
- Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician.
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
- Full Clean UK Driving Licence.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Desirable Requirements
- Experience working with Volvo vehicles.
- Knowledge of hybrid and electric vehicle systems.
- Experience using Volvo diagnostic systems.
