Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Supervisor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in the hospitality and culinary fields, demonstrating exceptional leadership and team management skills. This role involves overseeing day-to-day operations by supervising staff, ensuring customer satisfaction, managing inventory, and implementing company policies, often filling in for the Manager in their absence.
Responsibilities
- Assist in supervising daily operations, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality service
- Train and mentor staff, promoting teamwork and effective communication
- Maintain high standards of service and customer care.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed
- Collaborate with staff to ensure seamless service delivery
- Handle customer inquiries and feedback with professionalism, enhancing the overall dining experience
- Participate in menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for new dishes
Requirements
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a restaurant or hospitality environment
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Excellent leadership abilities with a focus on team management and development
- Familiarity with barista duties is advantageous but not mandatory
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact positively with customers and staff alike
- A passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to delivering exceptional service
- Availability for weekend and evening shifts.
