We are seeking a dedicated and skilled MSK Physio Sonographer to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in musculoskeletal (MSK) imaging, with a focus on physiotherapy and sonography techniques. This role involves performing detailed ultrasound examinations to assist in diagnosing and managing musculoskeletal conditions, ensuring high-quality patient care. Duties
- Conduct comprehensive ultrasound scans of musculoskeletal structures, including muscles, tendons, ligaments, and joints, to support physiotherapy assessments.
- Collaborate closely with physiotherapists, radiologists, and medical staff to interpret imaging results accurately.
- Ensure all ultrasound procedures adhere to established clinical protocols and safety standards.
- Maintain detailed and accurate patient records, documenting findings clearly for medical review.
- Provide compassionate patient care by explaining procedures thoroughly and addressing patient concerns effectively.
- Assist in the development of imaging protocols tailored to pediatric and adult patients with musculoskeletal conditions.
- Keep equipment well-maintained, calibrated, and compliant with health regulations to ensure optimal performance.
- Participate in ongoing professional training to stay current with advances in sonography techniques and musculoskeletal physiology.
Requirements
- Proven experience working as a sonographer within a hospital or clinical setting, particularly with musculoskeletal imaging.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to musculoskeletal health.
- Experience working with pediatric patients is highly desirable.
- Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and empathetically.
- Familiarity with hospital procedures, safety standards, and equipment maintenance protocols.
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams in fast-paced healthcare environments.
- Relevant certification or registration as a sonographer or radiographer is required; additional qualifications in physiotherapy are advantageous.
- Basic understanding of pathology related to musculoskeletal disorders will support accurate imaging interpretation.
