Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential care and support to individuals in various settings, including senior care facilities, home care, and childcare environments. Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and support to clients, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive and encouraging environment.
- Assist with medication management and ensure that clients adhere to their prescribed health plans.
- Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in behaviour or health to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers to deliver comprehensive care tailored to each individual's needs.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in patient care.
Experience
- Previous experience in care settings and have worked in mental health.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- A caring attitude and a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life are essential for this role.
