Job Overview
We are seeking a versatile and hardworking General Labourer to join our team. This role involves supporting various construction, landscaping, and maintenance projects, requiring a proactive approach and a willingness to undertake physically demanding tasks. The successful candidate will contribute to the efficient completion of projects by assisting with site preparation, equipment operation, and general labour duties. Previous experience in landscape maintenance, horticulture, or construction is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.
Responsibilities
- General Labouring duties
- Operating hand tools, power tools, and small machinery including excavators and dumpers under supervision
- Supporting construction activities by moving materials, clearing sites, and preparing work areas
- Performing routine maintenance on equipment and tools to ensure safety and functionality
- Ensuring work sites are kept clean, safe, and organised at all times
- Collaborating with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards
Requirements
- Prior experience or knowledge in the construction and landscaping industry is mandatory
- Mechanical knowledge or familiarity with power tools and hand tools is advantageous
- Ability to operate machinery such as excavators or dumpers is a plus
- Good physical fitness with the ability to perform manual labour in various weather conditions
- Willingness to learn new skills and undertake training as required
- A responsible attitude towards safety procedures and site regulations
- Personal reliability and the ability to work effectively within a team environment
