Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and welcoming Hotel Receptionist to join our team. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process. Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in procedures
- Manage guest reservations, cancellations, and modifications efficiently
- Provide information about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions
- Handle guest enquiries via phone, email, or in person with professionalism and courtesy
- Process payments accurately using the hotel’s booking system
- Address guest concerns promptly and escalate issues when necessary to ensure guest satisfaction
- Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the reception area
- Collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure guest rooms meet quality standards
- Keep accurate records of guest interactions and transactions
Skills
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Proven experience in hotel reception or guest services is desirable
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly advantageous for assisting diverse guests
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
- Friendly demeanour with a genuine passion for hospitality
- Knowledge of hotel management software systems is a plus
- Ability to work flexible hours as required by the hospitality industry
