Care Workers – Flexible Hours | Join The Restored House
Leeds & Wakefield | Flexible Shifts | Bank, Part-Time & Regular Hours Available
Come and make someone’s day a little brighter.
At The Restored House, we believe great care begins with great people.
We are growing our care team and are looking for kind, dependable and compassionate Care Workers who want to make a genuine difference in the lives of the people we support across Leeds and Wakefield.
Whether you already have experience in care, are looking for additional hours around another job, need work that fits around family commitments, or have availability at particular times of the week, we would love to hear from you.
We understand that everyone’s circumstances are different, which is why we aim to be as flexible as possible when considering your availability.
Morning availability? Evenings? Weekends? A few regular days each week? More hours?
Tell us when you are available, and we will explore how you could become part of our team.
What makes this role special?
Care is about much more than completing tasks.
It might be helping someone get ready for their day, preparing their favourite meal, offering reassurance when they are feeling anxious, accompanying them out into the community, or simply taking the time to sit, listen and have a conversation.
The small things you do can make an enormous difference to someone’s independence, dignity and quality of life.
As part of The Restored House, you will provide thoughtful, person-centred support while building trusted relationships with the people you care for.
What you may be doing
Depending on the individual’s care and support plan, your role may include:
- Supporting people with washing, dressing, grooming and other personal care needs
- Helping individuals remain safe, comfortable and independent in their own homes
- Providing mobility and daily living support
- Supporting with medication in accordance with the person’s care plan, your training and company procedures
- Preparing meals and supporting people with eating and drinking where required
- Providing companionship, reassurance and meaningful social interaction
- Supporting people living with dementia and other health or support needs
- Accompanying individuals to appointments, activities or community outings
- Helping with light household tasks to maintain a comfortable and safe home
- Keeping clear and accurate care records
- Reporting any concerns or changes in a person’s wellbeing to the appropriate member of the team
The person we are looking for
You do not need to be the loudest person in the room or have years of care experience.
What matters enormously to us is who you are as a person.
We are looking for people who are:
- Kind, patient and compassionate
- Reliable and respectful
- Comfortable supporting people with dignity and sensitivity
- Good listeners and clear communicators
- Willing to learn and follow care plans, policies and professional guidance
- Able to work independently while knowing when to ask for support
- Committed to providing safe, high-quality care
Previous care experience is welcomed, but please do not let a lack of experience stop you from applying if you have the right values and attitude. Training and ongoing support will be provided.
A driving licence and access to a vehicle may be particularly helpful for some community-based care roles.
We know life doesn't always fit around a traditional 9–5.
That is why we welcome conversations with applicants who have different patterns of availability.
You may be:
- A parent looking for hours that work around family life
- A student looking for suitable part-time work
- An experienced Care Worker wanting additional shifts
- Returning to care after some time away
- Looking for regular part-time hours
- Available mainly during mornings, evenings or weekends
- Looking to build more hours over time
Whatever your availability looks like, talk to us.
We cannot promise that every availability pattern will match our current care requirements, but we will always be happy to explore what may work.
