Victa Railfreight Ltd currently have an exciting opportunity to work as a Rail Unloading Operative
We are currently recruiting for Stourton, Leeds
A driver's licence will be required for this role.
This role will be working nights which requires the person to control discharge of aggregates from train to storage bunkers by way of an automated control panel.
Applicants must be conscientious with a high level of attention to detail, flexible, and reliable
This includes mandatory weekend work so you will be required to work on both Saturdays and Sundays. Applicants must be available to work weekends.
Applicants must be over the age of 18 and full training is provided.
The job role will include-
- The safe and effective operation of the batching and blending bottom discharge unit.
- Responsible for the Health and Safety of yourself, others on site
- Ensuring that the BDU / site is left secure post-train discharge.
- Ensuring that the correct materials are discharged in the correct bay.
- General housekeeping.
- Pre and after use inspection of equipment.
- Creating and delivering plans to schedule
- Fault identification and timely reporting
- Active monitoring of stock levels and condition of equipment associated with the discharge operation
- Accurate and timely reporting
The shift patterns are as below:

Sunday 23:50 – 08:50 Monday
Monday 22:30 – 04:30 Tuesday
Tuesday 22:30 – 04:30 Wednesday

Wednesday 22:50 – 08:50 Thursday
Thursday 22:30 – 04:30 Friday
Friday 22:30 – 04:30 Saturday
