Careers Curriculum:
Design, deliver, and evaluate a careers curriculum across all key stages, aligned with national benchmarks and best practice.
Develop resources and maintain up-to-date careers guidance for students and parents/carers.
Ensure careers education reflects current labour market trends, future skills needs, and UK/international opportunities.
Student Guidance and Support:
Provide impartial guidance on post-16 and post-18 pathways, including university, apprenticeships, vocational routes, and employment.
Manage application processes (e.g. UCAS, international universities, apprenticeships) and support students through them.
Offer tailored advice to students and parents/carers on future pathways.
Staff and Pastoral Collaboration:
Work with teaching and pastoral teams to ensure high-quality careers information and guidance.
Support tutors and Heads of Year with careers education, references, personal statements, and applications.
Deliver staff training to promote consistency and quality in careers guidance.
Enrichment and External Engagement:
Organise engagement opportunities with employers, alumni, universities, and guest speakers.
Lead support for applications to elite universities.
Maximise use of digital careers platforms (e.g. Unifrog).
Build partnerships with external organisations to enhance careers provision and enrichment opportunities.
Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting:
Monitor and evaluate the impact of the careers programme, reporting outcomes to senior leaders.
Celebrate and promote student achievements and destinations.
Compliance and Safeguarding:
Ensure careers provision meets statutory and safeguarding requirements.
Maintain accurate records and contribute to reporting and documentation.
