Active8 Minds is looking for enthusiastic and motivated Children's Activity Leaders to join our growing team for the start of the 2026/27 academic year.

About the Role
As a Children's Activity Leader, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging activities for children attending our breakfast, after-school, and holiday club provision. You will help create a fun and welcoming environment while ensuring the highest standards of safety, care, and safeguarding.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver a variety of engaging play, sports, and enrichment activities.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for all children.
- Encourage participation, teamwork, confidence, and enjoyment.
- Support children’s wellbeing, development, and positive behaviour.
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, school staff, and colleagues.
- Prepare activity areas and equipment, ensuring all sessions are safe and well organised.
- Maintain high standards of health, safety, and safeguarding.
- Support the day-to-day operation of the club and work collaboratively with colleagues.
- Follow company policies, procedures, and safeguarding requirements at all times.
What We're Looking For
- Experience working with children in a childcare, education, playwork, sports coaching, youth work, or similar setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A positive, energetic, and professional attitude.
- Ability to engage, motivate, and inspire children of different ages and abilities.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to work independently when required.
- Understanding of safeguarding and child welfare responsibilities.
- Relevant childcare, playwork, sports coaching, teaching assistant, or education qualifications are desirable.
