Plumbing and Heating Engineer (Employed or Sub-Contractor)

Our work includes:
- High-quality bathroom installations (supported by our in-house tilers, carpenters, and plasterers)
- Heating and hot water system upgrades
- Underfloor heating
- Mains water boosting
- Weather compensation systems
- Low-temperature system design
- Heat pump installations (upcoming focus area)
Role Overview
As a Plumbing and Heating Engineer, you will install, repair, and maintain plumbing and heating systems across a wide range of residential properties. You’ll be working on both planned installations and reactive repairs, delivering excellent service with a strong focus on quality and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing and heating systems to the highest industry standards and current regulations.
- Diagnose faults and carry out efficient, effective repairs and system upgrades.
- Work with modern heating technologies, including underfloor heating, weather compensation, and low-temperature systems.
- Use a wide range of tools including hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
- Collaborate with our team of tilers, carpenters, and plasterers on complete bathroom and heating projects.
- Maintain accurate job records using our CRM system.
- Ensure all work areas are left clean, tidy, and safe.
- Provide excellent customer service and work professionally on site.
Requirements
- Proven experience in plumbing and heating systems (domestic focus essential).
- Strong practical skills with plumbing, pipework, and heating installations.
- Competent in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
- Good working knowledge of current building regulations and health & safety standards.
- Basic carpentry skills are advantageous.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Physically fit with the ability to perform heavy lifting when required.
- Valid UK driving licence (essential).
- Reliable, organised, and customer-focused attitude.
