We have an exciting opportunity for a Nightshift Transport Controller to join our team, based at our main office in Hamilton. This is a full-time, permanent position on a 4 on 4 off rota from 7pm-7am.
Key Roles and Responsibilities will include:
- Receiving customer phone calls , accepting and distribution of roadside assistance instructions to on call drivers.
- Liaising with drivers to ensure high level of customer service and efficiency are reached and maintained
- Liaising with external contractors to secure additional operatives if required
- General office work and updating internal recovery back - office systems.
The right candidate will demonstrate:
- Strong IT literacy skills and a good understanding of all Microsoft Office systems
- Ability to work in a fast paced and demanding environment and use own initiative
- Good geographical knowledge of Scotland, especially the local area
- Excellent time management skills
- A polite and conscientious telephone manner
- Excellent administration and organisational abilities
- Excellent communication skills
- Eye for detail
- Team player.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Experience working within the Despatch department of a Transport Company
- Experience working within the Vehicle Recovery Industry is advantageous but not essential as full training will be given.
Salary and Benefits:
- Salary £29k- £31k
- Nightshift 7pm – 7am
- 4 on 4 off shift pattern
- Overtime available for the right candidate
- 19.6 days holiday
