Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Full-Time Plasterer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plastering and related trades, with the ability to work efficiently on various projects. Responsibilities
- Applying plaster to interior and exterior surfaces, ensuring smooth and durable finishes
- Preparing surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers as necessary
- Installing specialised plastering materials for decorative or functional purposes
- Working alongside other trades such as carpentry, masonry, roofing, plumbing, and electrical teams to ensure project cohesion
- Operating hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during plastering tasks
- Reading schematics and technical drawings to execute precise work according to specifications
- Assisting with fabrication and installation of plasterboard or other construction components
- Maintaining a clean and organised worksite, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times
- Contributing to the completion of projects within designated timeframes while maintaining high standards of quality
Skills
- Proven experience in plastering within the construction industry
- Knowledge of roofing, plumbing, welding, electrical systems, masonry, and construction painting is advantageous
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in plastering and general construction work
- Ability to interpret schematics and technical drawings accurately
- Strong understanding of fabrication techniques relevant to plastering applications
- Competence in carpentry skills for framing or finishing tasks related to plasterwork
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on achieving high-quality finishes
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
