Job Overview
Must be a fully qualified teacher, preferably with recent teaching experience.
Rates of pay - £37 for 60 mins session up to 4 students in each session.
We are currently hiring fully qualified tutors to join us at the Kip McGrath Sheffield South West centre to deliver engaging, effective tutoring sessions. The role involves teaching small groups of up to 4 students in each session, providing some 1 to 1 support within each group.
Duties will include
- - Teaching groups of children using individualised lesson programmes
- - Planning lessons using the Kip McGrath model and resources
- - Using experience as a teacher to ensure progress is made
- - Carrying out assessments to check progress
- - Teaching lessons online on our unique online system as well as in centre
- - Providing constructive feedback to students, parents/ carers as required.
- - Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- - All applicants will be subject to a full DBS check.
Salary: £37 per hour
Requirements
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching secondary school mathematics
- Strong knowledge of mathematical concepts at the secondary education level
- Experience working with children or young learners, including those with special educational needs
- Excellent communication skills to clearly explain complex ideas in an accessible manner
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning styles and needs
- Patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in education or mathematics are preferred but not mandatory
