We're looking for someone who is passionate about traditional wooden boats and takes pride in bringing them back to life. This isn't a clean office job—it's hands-on, physical work where no two days are the same.
If you're not afraid of hard work, don't mind getting dirty, enjoy solving problems, and want to be part of a team preserving classic boats, we'd love to hear from you.
What you'll be doing
- Repairing and restoring traditional wooden boats.
- Replacing rotten timber, planking, decks, cabins and structural components.
- Carrying out routine maintenance and refits.
- Sanding, painting, varnishing and finishing to a high standard.
- Using a wide range of woodworking machinery and hand tools safely.
- Working both independently and as part of a small, experienced team.
- Helping keep our hire fleet and customers' boats in first-class condition.
We're looking for someone who:
- Has experience in woodworking, carpentry or boatbuilding (preferred but not essential for the right person).
- Has a genuine passion for boats and traditional craftsmanship.
- Isn't afraid of hard physical work.
- Doesn't mind getting wet, dirty or working outdoors when needed.
- Has a positive attitude and is keen to learn.
- Takes pride in producing high-quality workmanship.
- Is reliable, punctual and enjoys being part of a close-knit team.
- Holds a full UK driving licence (preferred).
