Job Overview
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our 'Into Care' team as part of our Funeral Service Crew. Our team is a reactive one covering much of Cornwall, and can be called upon 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (within a shift system). Applicants must live within 20 mins of our Redruth Funeralhome
The position offers an opportunity to work in a meaningful environment, providing comfort and support to grieving families during difficult times.
Candidates should be physically capable of heavy lifting and committed to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and care.
Duties
- Lifting and moving heavy loads safely, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Ensuring the funeral vehicles are clean, maintained, and ready for use
- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the funeral home and related areas
- Supporting staff in logistical tasks to ensure smooth service delivery
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a physically demanding role or funeral service environment is advantageous but not essential
- Full Driving licence essential
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Compassionate demeanour with excellent interpersonal skills
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team on a rotating shift pattern which covers days, nights and weekends.
- Respect for confidentiality and sensitivity when dealing with bereaved families
