We're looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Senior System Ops Analyst to join our Systems Support Team within the Council's ICT & Digital Delivery Service. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys combining technical expertise with problem-solving, stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement.
You'll play a key role in supporting and developing the critical business systems that underpin Adult Social Care, Children's Services and Education, helping to ensure our services can continue to make a positive difference to residents across the borough. As part of ICT & Digital Delivery, you'll work at the heart of the Council's digital transformation agenda, helping to deliver technology solutions that enable services to operate efficiently, effectively and sustainably.
As a Senior System Ops Analyst, you'll be responsible for the administration, support, development and enhancement of large-scale business systems. Working closely with colleagues, partner organisations and third-party suppliers, you'll help drive the continual improvement of critical business systems. From managing upgrades and releases to developing reporting solutions and providing expert support, you'll work collaboratively with stakeholders to ensure technology effectively supports service delivery and organisational priorities.
This is a particularly exciting time to join the team. You'll play a key role in supporting the delivery of the Families First programme, a major transformation that will reshape how Children's Social Care and partner agencies work together to support children, young people and families. The programme will bring significant changes to processes, ways of working and the systems that support them, giving you the opportunity to influence and help deliver large-scale system developments that will have a lasting impact on services across the borough.
No two days are the same. One day you might be leading the testing and implementation of a major system upgrade, while the next you could be analysing user requirements, designing new solutions, developing training materials or supporting a complex technical issue.
You'll also have opportunities to lead projects, mentor colleagues and contribute to the modernisation of services through innovative digital solutions and improved business processes. Whether supporting transformational programmes such as Families First or delivering continual service improvements, you'll be at the forefront of helping the Council make the best use of technology to improve outcomes for residents
We're looking for someone who can demonstrate:
- Experience supporting and administering complex ICT systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience of system configuration, testing, upgrades and release management.
- The ability to extract, analyse and interpret data and management information.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A customer-focused approach and a passion for delivering effective digital services.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively within a fast-paced environment.
- Experience of working with Liquidlogic systems is strongly preferred, as the role will involve supporting, developing and enhancing key social care systems that are central to service delivery and transformation programmes across the Council.
This is an opportunity to work on business-critical systems that directly support frontline services and improve outcomes for residents. You'll be part of a supportive and knowledgeable team, working on challenging and rewarding projects while continuing to develop your skills and expertise.
If you're an experienced systems professional who enjoys finding solutions, improving processes and making technology work better for users, we'd love to hear from you.
