Job Overview
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Packer to join our warehouse team. The successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently preparing products for shipment, ensuring accuracy and quality standards are met. Duties
- Handle materials carefully, ensuring correct packing according to specifications
- Utilise warehouse management systems to track inventory and update stock records
- Prepare orders for shipping by picking, packing, and verifying items against orders
- Assist with stocking shelves and maintaining organised storage areas
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure products meet company standards
- Load and unload Vans efficiently, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Support shipping & receiving processes, including documentation and labelling
- Perform mechanical checks on equipment as required to ensure operational safety
Experience
- Previous warehouse experience is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for all necessary procedures
- Familiarity with materials handling, including the use of forklifts, is advantageous
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems and inventory control processes is desirable
- Experience in picking & packing, stock management, and quality control will be beneficial
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently is essential
- Mechanical knowledge or experience with loading/unloading machinery is a plus
