Summary
We are seeking a dedicated, flexible Kitchen Assistant to join our caring team at Lett's Care Ltd in the Canterbury area. This is a weekend role, working both Saturday and Sunday each week, from 7.30am until 2pm. In this role, you will support our kitchen operations, ensuring the delivery of nutritious and safe meals for our residents and clients, contributing to their well-being and comfort.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals according to dietary requirements and safety standards.
- Assist in food safety practices to maintain hygiene and cleanliness.
- Support the kitchen team in meal planning and preparation.
- Ensure all food is stored correctly and kitchen equipment is maintained.
- Serve meals to residents with care and professionalism.
- Follow health and safety regulations at all times.
- Contribute to a positive dining experience for residents.
- Support other kitchen duties as required.
- Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation or cooking, preferably in a healthcare or residential setting.
- Knowledge of food safety standards.
- Ability to work efficiently in a team environment.
- Good communication skills.
- Flexibility to support various shifts if needed.
- Previous restaurant or culinary experience is advantageous.
