Are you a passionate and energetic female Care Worker looking to make a real difference in someone's life?
We need you to provide care for a 21-year-old young person who has a brain injury.
You will need to have experience with medication through a Peg and giving peg feed. You will need to have at least 2 years of experience with Peg care and Epilepsy care with brain injury clients.
Working Pattern & Availability
We are looking for candidates who are available to work part-time or full-time, including day and night shift.
Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care and support tailored to individual needs.
- Managing oral secretions and ensuring the individual's comfort.
- Administer PEG feeds, flushes, and medications via PEG.
- Monitor and manage weight, with a focus on preventing weight loss.
- Deliver continence care with dignity and respect.
- Maintain skin integrity through proactive care routines.
- Assist with all moving and handling tasks, adhering to risk assessments.
- Anticipate and address the client’s needs with empathy and efficiency.
- Provide reassurance and manage distress in a calm, caring manner.
- Monitoring pain levels and providing care accordingly.
- Support ongoing therapy to improve posture and comfort.
- Assist with nighttime routines and ensure restful sleep.
Pay: £14.00-£16.00 per hour
