Field Care Supervisor – Part Time (20 Hours)
Caremark Brighton & Hove is looking for an enthusiastic, caring and experienced professional to join our team as a Part-Time Field Care Supervisor.
This is a permanent position, working 20 hours per week across five days, with some weekend working required. Our usual working patterns are 9am–1pm or 1pm–5pm, Monday to Friday, although some flexibility is essential as the role may occasionally involve earlier starts, later finishes or weekend visits.
About the role
This is a varied and rewarding role that combines office-based work with time out in the community. As a Field Care Supervisor, you'll play an important role in making sure our clients receive consistently high-quality, person-centred care, while also supporting and developing our Care & Support Workers.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out client reviews, care observations and assessments
- Supporting Care & Support Workers in the field
- Implementing and maintaining our field-based quality assurance systems
- Monitoring the quality and consistency of care being delivered
- Identifying and responding to care-related issues
- Providing guidance, support and feedback to members of the care team
- Completing relevant documentation and care records
- Working with the office team to resolve issues and continuously improve our service
No two days are the same. One day you might be visiting a client and completing a care observation; the next you could be supporting a carer, carrying out an assessment, reviewing care documentation or helping the office team resolve a care-related issue.

Working with our team
You'll work closely with our Full-Time Field Care Supervisor, Care Co-ordinator, Senior Carers, and Recruitment & Compliance Manager, and will report directly to the Care Manager.

Essential requirements
Due to the nature of the role, you must have:

Principal responsibilities
· Support and manage a team of Care & Support Workers
· Participation in the on-call rota is required. On-call is shared across the management team and attracts an additional payment. (used for emergencies outside of office working time – approx. one in every 6/7 weeks).
· To maintain close liaison with both the Care Manager and office staff
· To complete new assessments and attend first calls with clients.
· To ensure paperwork is up to date and compliant as per the Caremark policies.
· Act as a link between the client and the office
· Oversee care quality control.
· Monitor and supervise care service.
· To cover calls only if needed
· Some weekend working, late evening and early morning working may be required as the business needs.
· To oversee Senior CSWs
· To provide supervisions for CSWs, identifying training or support needs.
· To ensure clients are happy and satisfied with their care.
· To provide training and inductions for CSWs
· ·To identify and appropriately report safeguarding concerns, changes in clients' needs, incidents and risks.
· To use professional judgement and escalate concerns appropriately to the Care Manager.
What we look for
We’re looking for someone who is an excellent communicator, highly motivated, and well-organised, with strong leadership skills and a genuine passion for delivering high-quality, efficient care.
You'll be someone who is confident enough to challenge poor practice, but compassionate enough to understand why people sometimes need additional support. You'll be able to have difficult conversations when necessary while maintaining positive working relationships.
To succeed in this role, you’ll need a care qualification equivalent to at least NVQ Level 3 (or be currently working towards it or prepared to start it). Ideally, you’ll also bring 1 year of experience as a Field Care Supervisor — but if you’re ready to take the next step in your career and have the right foundation and experience in care, we’d still love to hear from you as full support and training will be given.

· NVQ level 3 or above in social care and health or willingness to work towards

Hours :
This is a 20-hour per week position, with hours to be worked flexibly in agreement with management. Your standard working pattern will be 9-1 or 1-5 as needed Mon-Fri. Flexibility is essential however, as whilst the majority of the working time will be as stated, the role also includes some early mornings, late finishes, and weekend working, depending on the needs of the business.
You’ll be expected to work alternate Christmas and New Year periods each year.
To support team communication and service continuity, you’ll need to be in the office every Monday morning until 12pm for the weekly staff meeting.
Outside of those times, Field Care Supervisors are expected to spend time every week out in the field supporting care delivery, with remaining time in the office to complete essential administrative tasks.
If there is need for you to work a weekend, you’ll be able to agree your two rest days with management (excluding Mondays and Fridays).
