Duties
- Operate welding equipment, hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery to complete construction and repair tasks
- Perform carpentry, masonry, roofing, and other building-related activities with attention to detail
- Conduct heavy lifting and physical tasks safely while adhering to safety protocols
- Assist with mechanical repairs and maintenance of equipment and structures
- Support commercial driving duties for transporting materials or equipment between sites
- Follow project plans and blueprints to ensure accurate execution of tasks
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all tools and materials are properly stored after use
Skills
- Proficiency in welding techniques and the use of hand tools and power tools
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively
- Experience in carpentry, roofing, masonry, or related construction trades
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely over extended periods
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) or experience in commercial driving preferred
- Knowledge of safety standards related to construction, roofing, masonry, and heavy equipment operation
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to completing tasks efficiently
