Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Take food and drink orders accurately and efficiently.
- Serve food and beverages to guests, ensuring timely delivery.
- Provide recommendations on menu items and upsell specials to enhance the dining experience.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their meal and address any concerns promptly.
- Maintain knowledge of food safety standards and ensure compliance during food preparation and service.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth communication regarding orders and special requests.
- Keep the dining area clean and organised, including resetting tables for new guests.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and managing tabs.
Skills
- Strong hospitality skills with a genuine desire to provide excellent guest services.
- Previous restaurant experience preferred, with familiarity in serving practices.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food preparation.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions effectively.
- Experience in kitchen operations or culinary arts is an advantage.
- Exceptional time management abilities to handle multiple tables efficiently.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
