Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of grilled dishes according to recipes and quality standards
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety and hygiene regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the grill station and surrounding areas
- Assist in meal preparation and presentation to ensure visual appeal and customer satisfaction
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure optimal results
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to deliver excellent service experiences
- Manage stock levels of ingredients, ensuring freshness and proper storage
- Follow all health and safety guidelines during food handling and preparation processes
Experience
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or as a chef within a restaurant or catering environment
- Strong background in culinary techniques, particularly grilling methods
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in kitchen hygiene
- Previous experience working in a busy kitchen setting is highly desirable
- Familiarity with meal preparation, serving, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen
