Pharmacy Counter Assistant & Clinic Assistant
We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic, and customer-focused Pharmacy Counter Assistant to join our growing pharmacy and aesthetics clinic. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about healthcare, beauty, and skincare and enjoys delivering outstanding customer service.
In addition to providing pharmacy counter support, you will play an important role in our premium skincare and aesthetics offering. Our pharmacy proudly stocks and recommends leading medical-grade skincare brands including SkinCeuticals, Medik8, Obagi Medical, and ZO Skin Health. We also offer professional skin consultations, advanced facials, and skin peel treatments within our clinic.
We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in aesthetics, beauty, and skincare who is keen to develop their skills in professional facial and skin peel treatments. Previous experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided to the right candidate. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service in a professional, friendly, and approachable manner.
- Assist customers with over-the-counter medicines and healthcare products, referring to the pharmacist when appropriate.
- Recommend premium skincare products based on customer needs and within your level of training.
- Promote our pharmacy's skincare range, facial treatments, and aesthetic clinic services.
- Support bookings for skin consultations, facials, and aesthetic treatments.
- Process sales accurately using the till system.
- Replenish stock, rotate products, and maintain attractive retail displays.
- Support prescription collection and the daily pharmacy workflow.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming pharmacy and clinic environment.
- Build lasting relationships with customers through exceptional and personalised service.
- Assist with professional facial and skincare treatments, including skin peels, following appropriate training.
- Welcome and greet patients, ensuring they receive a warm and professional experience from arrival to departure.
- Assist the Aesthetic Practitioner during clinics when required.
- Take before-and-after treatment photographs in accordance with clinic protocols.
- Create engaging daily social media content for both the pharmacy and aesthetics clinic, including photographs, videos, treatment highlights, product features, and promotional posts.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience in a customer service or retail environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Friendly, professional, and confident approach to customer care.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Basic IT and numeracy skills.
- Willingness to complete Pharmacy Counter Assistant training if not already qualified.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Previous pharmacy or healthcare experience.
- Experience in aesthetics, beauty, skincare, or cosmetics.
- Knowledge of medical-grade skincare brands such as SkinCeuticals, Medik8, Obagi Medical, and ZO Skin Health.
- Confidence in recommending skincare products and providing excellent customer consultations.
- Experience creating social media content for a business.
- Experience working in a clinic, beauty salon, aesthetics practice, or luxury retail environment is highly desirable.
- A genuine passion for skincare, aesthetics, and helping clients achieve their skin health goals.
