We are seeking a compassionate freelance Activities Co-ordinator to join our team at Brooklands House Care Home in Lytham. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing and delivering engaging activities that enhance the quality of life for our residents, supporting their physical, emotional, and social well-being.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement a variety of engaging activities tailored to residents' needs and interests.
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages participation.
- Collaborate with care staff to integrate activities into daily routines.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of activities, making adjustments as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of activities and resident participation.
- Support residents in maintaining their independence through meaningful engagement.
- Promote social interaction among residents to build a sense of community.
- Ensure all activities comply with health and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in activity coordination within a care or nursing home setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to plan, organize, and adapt activities for diverse needs.
- Compassionate approach with a genuine interest in enhancing residents' quality of life.
- Creativity and enthusiasm for engaging residents in meaningful activities.
