Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and attentive Food Runner to join our dynamic hospitality team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of food orders from the kitchen to our guests, maintaining high standards of service and guest satisfaction. Duties
- Safely and promptly deliver prepared dishes from the kitchen to guests' tables, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are maintained.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, supporting chefs and kitchen staff during busy periods.
- Ensure all food items are correctly garnished, plated, and presented before delivery.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of service stations and dining areas.
- Collaborate effectively with servers, chefs, and other team members to provide seamless guest service.
- Handle guest requests courteously and efficiently, demonstrating excellent communication skills.
- Uphold food safety standards at all times, adhering to hygiene regulations and proper handling procedures.
- Support with basic meal preparation or setup when required, contributing to overall restaurant operations.
Experience
- Previous experience in hospitality, restaurant service, or food preparation is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
- Experience as a delivery driver or in roles such as hotel or barista work is advantageous.
- Familiarity with food safety protocols and guest services enhances suitability for this role.
- Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette, are important for interacting effectively with team members and guests.
- Knowledge of food presentation, serving techniques, and basic culinary skills will be beneficial.
- A genuine interest in the culinary arts and hospitality industry is highly valued.
