Multi Drop Delivery Driver Required - No Weekends, No Nights out, 40 hour paid week.
Smales are a national supplier of Frozen Fish, Seafood and catering products to the Fish & Chip sector, and fast food wholesalers, with heritage dating back to the 1937, and are a business built on providing our customers with a friendly, reliable and efficient delivery service.
Our drivers engage with our customer’s day in, day out, and they provide a great customer focus and a professional face for our business.
We require a Class 2 driver to join the team at our National Distribution Centre, in Hull, delivering to customers throughout the Yorkshire regions and into Lincolnshire and other surrounding areas 5 days per week. Reporting directly to the Transport Manager your duties will include: -
Delivering products in a clean & tidy manner directly to Smales’ customers on an assigned route, providing a high standard of customer service.
Completing a daily vehicle and auxiliary equipment check before the vehicle leaves site and reporting any defects using the agreed vehicle defect procedure.
Ensure all relevant documentation including delivery notes, proof of delivery, and return notes are completed accurately with required information, and returned to site on a daily basis.
Between 8-12 deliveries (average) daily so you will need to be physically active as the job does involve lifting products.
We require a full:
Clean Class 2 driving licence (or no more than 6 points). If holding a Class 1 licence then there is occassional Class 1 work available as part of this role at a higher wage rate.
Valid CPC card and experience of multi drop deliveries is preferred but not essential as full training will be given.
We provide a minimum of 30 days holiday rising to 33 days with service, pension and being paid on a weekly basis.
