Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Greenkeeper to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will assist in the maintenance, preparation, and improvement of the golf course to ensure optimal playing conditions in line with modern agronomic practices.
Key Responsibilities:
· Carry out all aspects of turf management, including mowing, aeration, topdressing, and overseeding.
· Maintain greens, tees, fairways, and bunkers to the highest standards.
· Operate and maintain a range of turf care machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.
· Implement integrated pest and disease management programmes.
· Work within health and safety regulations at all times.
Essential Skills & Experience:
· Previous experience in golf course maintenance or sports turf management.
· Knowledge of parkland course characteristics and seasonal maintenance requirements.
· Competence in operating turf machinery and basic mechanical skills.
· Understanding of irrigation systems and turfgrass agronomy.
· Ability to work as part of a team and independently when required.
Desirable Qualifications:
· NVQ Level 2 in Sports Turf Management (or equivalent).
· PA1, PA2, and PA6 spraying certificates.
· Chainsaw certification for woodland management.
