The Opportunity
Six Contract Furniture manufactures banquette seating, upholstery and joinery for some of the UK’s biggest hospitality brands — Wagamama, Caffè Nero, Popeyes, Pret and more — all made in-house at our Stourbridge workshop.
We’re looking for someone early in their career, hungry to learn, who wants to be trained up as the founder’s right hand. This is not a role where you’ll be stuck in one lane. You’ll work directly with the business owner across the whole operation: managing client accounts, pricing and quoting projects, visiting sites, chasing production through the workshop, and dealing with the people who run the UK’s best-known restaurant brands.
What you’ll do
- Manage day-to-day communication with national hospitality clients
- Learn to quote and cost projects from drawings through to delivery
- Follow jobs through the workshop and keep clients updated
- Attend site visits and client meetings alongside the founder
- Take on real responsibility fast — as much as you can handle
Who we’re looking for
- Early-career (0–3 years’ experience) — graduates and school leavers considered
- Sharp, organised, confident on the phone and in person
- Genuinely ambitious — you want to run things, not just do tasks
- Full UK driving licence preferred
- No furniture experience needed — we’ll teach you everything
Why this role
There’s no corporate ladder here. You’ll learn how a real manufacturing business works from the person who built it, and how far you go is down to performance, not tenure. The plan is simple: we train you properly, give you real accounts, and grow the role around you.
How to apply
Apply with your CV and a few lines on why this role — not a cover letter, just tell us why you’re the one worth backing.
