Westmann Contracts Limited is a Fylde Coast based contractor delivering commercial building, repair, maintenance and refurbishment works for facilities management clients nationwide. Our work includes live commercial environments, banking sites, offices, data centres, student accommodation and specialist facilities.
The Role
We are looking for a Multi-skilled Joiner to support a wide range of commercial repair, refurbishment and fit-out works. The role will suit someone who is confident with joinery-led works but flexible enough to support general building and maintenance tasks when required.
Key Duties
- Carry out planned and reactive joinery, building fabric repairs and small works across commercial and student accommodation sites.
- Install, repair and adjust doors, fire doors, frames, ironmongery, skirting, architraves and associated components.
- Complete fire door alterations and remedial repairs, including adjustments, replacement components, seals, glazing details and associated making good, in line with approved instructions.
- Form openings through walls, ceilings, floors and joinery for mechanical, electrical and other building services, including trimming, boxing in and making good.
- Fit and repair windows, including handles, hinges, restrictors, gaskets, seals and trims.
- Install kitchens, worktops, cupboards, shelving, racking, boxing and bespoke timber items.
- Carry out bathroom refurbishment works, including hygienic wall cladding, shower panels, doors, screens and enclosures.
- Repair floors, joists, floorboards and subfloors, including plywood replacement and preparation for final finishes.
- Construct and repair stud walls, timber partitions, access panels and service enclosures.
- Build and maintain smoking shelters, timber outbuildings, log stores, canopies, fencing and other external timber structures.
- Carry out roofwork repairs, guttering, paving, kerbing and other general building repairs where competent.
- Support strip-out, refurbishment, fit-out, snagging and making-good works.
- Install barriers, handrails, signage, housings and other site fixtures.
- As a small team, role may involve other aspects of general building, maintenance and repair.
Requirements
- CSCS card required (gold).
- NVQ Level 3 in joinery.
- Experience in joinery for commercial building, repair and maintenance works.
- Ability to work safely on live sites and occupied commercial premises.
- Able to provide details for DBS check
- UK driving licence

What We Offer

- Access to a company vehicle, subject to availability, holding a full UK driving licence and meeting the requirements of the company’s motor insurance policy.
