Shop Assistant – Immediate Start – Must Be 18+ - Flexibility and weekend work is a must
We're looking for a friendly, reliable person to join our team as a Seasonal Shop Assistant on a temporary basis throughout the busy summer months, with the opportunity to be kept on for the right person.
If you enjoy working with people, like keeping busy, and take pride in delivering great customer service, we'd love to hear from you.
This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same. You'll be serving customers, operating the till, keeping the shop clean, tidy and well presented, and working as part of a friendly team. Experience is welcome, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are just as important.
What you'll be doing
- Providing friendly, helpful customer service.
- Serving customers and handling payments using the till.
- Keeping the shop clean, tidy and well stocked.
- Replenishing shelves, displays and stock as required.
- Following food hygiene and health & safety procedures at all times.
- Helping with general day-to-day shop tasks.
- Pitching in wherever needed during busy periods.
What we're looking for
- A friendly, positive attitude and excellent customer service skills.
- Someone who enjoys working as part of a team.
- The ability to stay organised and work well in a busy environment.
- A willingness to learn and take on a variety of tasks.
- Basic maths skills for using the till and handling payments.
- Previous experience in retail, customer service or hospitality is helpful, but not essential - full training will be provided.
