Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Coffee Shop Assistant & Bar Staff to join our vibrant team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service, preparing and serving a variety of beverages and food items, and maintaining a welcoming environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop barista skills and gain experience in a busy café setting, ensuring customers enjoy a memorable experience with every visit.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and speciality drinks, adhering to quality standards.
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches, salads, or baked goods.
- Serve customers at the counter or table, taking orders accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations, including cleaning equipment and utensils in accordance with food safety standards.
- Manage cash register operations, handle payments accurately using cash or card systems.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and health & safety procedures at all times.
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts.
- Provide friendly assistance to customers, answering queries about menu items and making recommendations where appropriate.
- Support team members during busy periods to ensure efficient service delivery.
Experience
- Previous barista or bar experience is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Experience in serving or working within a customer-facing environment is advantageous.
- Knowledge of food safety standards is preferred but can be taught on the job.
- Strong organisational skills with good time management are essential to prioritise tasks effectively during busy periods. Pay: £10.85-£12.21 per hour
