We are looking for an enthusiastic, and talented chef to join our brilliant and unique kitchen team. Responsibilities
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient and smooth workflow
- Prepare, cook, and present high-quality dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards
- Supervise and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and leadership to foster teamwork
- Ensure all food safety regulations are strictly adhered to, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards
- Manage food inventory, order supplies, and control waste to optimise kitchen efficiency
- Develop new menu items that reflect current culinary trends and customer preferences
- Train new staff members in food preparation techniques and safety procedures
- Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery
- Monitor food quality during service periods, making adjustments as necessary to meet customer expectations
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Demonstrable supervisory experience with team management skills
- Strong knowledge of food production, preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation skills
- Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Leadership qualities that inspire teamwork and motivate staff
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- A recognised culinary qualification is desirable but not essential; relevant experience is valued highly
- Good communication skills with an emphasis on customer service excellence
Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour
