Freelance Events & Hospitality Security Business Development Manager – UK Remote
About SECURALINK
SECURALINK helps UK security companies generate qualified opportunities and win suitable contracts. We provide the successful freelancer with a clear briefing on each client's services, approved scope, target customers and qualification criteria.
The opportunity
We are looking for an experienced UK hospitality, nightlife, venues or live-events business development professional who understands how operators appoint door supervision, venue-security and operational suppliers.
This is not a high-volume cold-calling role. Your value will come from genuine, current relationships, commercial judgement and the ability to create credible introductions to the people responsible for security and operational supplier decisions.
Relevant contacts may include group or regional operations directors, designated premises supervisors, venue general managers, heads of security, event or festival directors, venue operations leaders, event-safety professionals and procurement teams.
Security-sector experience is helpful but is not essential on day one. We will provide the service briefing. You must already understand the hospitality or events buying environment and be able to demonstrate credible access to operational decision-makers.
Freelance basis
This is a flexible, non-exclusive, self-employed contract-for-services opportunity. It is not a salaried position. Contractors control their own schedule and working methods, may work for other clients and invoice for accepted work. There are no guaranteed hours or assignments.
Fee
£200 for each accepted qualified meeting that takes place.
Indeed requires a standard pay period, but this is not a guaranteed £200 daily wage. Payment is per accepted qualified meeting held. Full acceptance, approval and invoicing terms will be included in a written contract before work begins. Contractors are responsible for their own tax and National Insurance.
A qualified meeting must:
- Be attended by a UK decision-maker or genuine influencer responsible for appointing security or operational suppliers.
- Relate to a credible licensed venue, hospitality group, festival, exhibition, arena, live event, tender, supplier review, new opening or upcoming contract requirement.
- Fit the agreed services, geography and customer profile.
- Take place as scheduled and contain enough information for a useful commercial conversation.
- Include handover notes covering the organisation, sites or event dates, likely requirement, current arrangements, buying process and next step.
- Not duplicate an existing SECURALINK or client opportunity or involve a suppressed account.
Speculative networking calls, sponsorship-only discussions, recruitment calls, duplicates, no-shows and meetings outside the agreed criteria will not be accepted.
What you will do
- Use your hospitality and events relationships, supported by focused independent prospecting, to identify suitable opportunities.
- Open conversations with multi-site hospitality operators, licensed venues, hotels, clubs, bars, arenas, exhibition venues, event organisers, promoters and production teams.
- Identify contract renewals, supplier-panel reviews, venue openings, event calendars and upcoming security requirements.
- Qualify the buyer, requirement, timing, incumbent arrangement and supplier-selection route.
- Arrange and hand over qualified meetings to our security-company clients.
- Maintain clear notes in the agreed tracking system.
Essential experience
- Proven business development, supplier sales, partnerships, commercial or operational experience within UK hospitality, nightlife, venues, exhibitions, festivals or live events.
- Genuine, recent relationships with people involved in operational or security-supplier decisions.
- Evidence of generating qualified meetings, tenders, partnerships, pipeline or contracts.
- Understanding of how venue groups, promoters or event operators choose and review suppliers.
- Strong relationship-building, telephone, email and LinkedIn communication.
- UK-based and able to contact UK organisations during normal working hours.
At interview, you must be able to describe at least 10 relevant target organisations, the buyer roles you know and how recent those relationships are. You will not be asked to disclose private contact details during the application stage. All introductions must be lawful and respect confidentiality, data-protection and non-solicitation obligations.
What we provide
- A structured security-services and compliance briefing.
- Agreed qualification and handover criteria.
- Prospect research, messaging and campaign materials.
- Transparent written payment terms.
- Flexible, remote and non-exclusive working.
- An initial 30-day pilot, with the opportunity to continue when the arrangement produces quality opportunities.
This opportunity may suit a current or former Hospitality Business Development Manager, Venue Partnerships Manager, Event Supplier BDM, Festival Partnerships Manager, Night-Time Economy consultant, multi-site operator, venue sales professional or live-events commercial consultant.
