Registered Manager

The Opportunity
We are working with a well-established care provider to recruit an experienced Registered Manager for a large nursing home in Rotherham.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced care home leader to take overall responsibility for a sizeable service with a strong clinical team already in place. You do not need to be nurse-qualified for this position; the key requirement is strong operational leadership experience within a large care home environment.
The successful candidate will lead the overall performance of the home, ensuring high standards of care, strong regulatory compliance and an excellent experience for residents, families and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day management and performance of the home.
- Provide visible and effective leadership to the management and wider team.
- Work closely with the established clinical team to ensure consistently high standards of care.
- Maintain strong compliance with CQC regulations and relevant legislation.
- Lead, motivate and develop a large multidisciplinary team.
- Drive continuous improvement across quality, care and operational performance.
- Monitor key operational and financial KPIs.
- Support occupancy growth and maximise the commercial performance of the service.
- Manage staffing effectively and reduce reliance on agency where possible.
- Build strong relationships with residents, relatives and external stakeholders.
- Ensure robust care planning, safeguarding and quality assurance processes are maintained.
About You
We are looking for an experienced Registered Manager or senior care home leader with a proven track record of managing large services.
You will ideally have:
- Experience managing a large residential or nursing care home.
- Strong knowledge of CQC requirements and regulatory compliance.
- Proven experience leading and developing large teams.
- A strong operational and commercial understanding.
- Experience driving occupancy and managing agency usage.
- Excellent leadership, communication and relationship-building skills.
- A relevant Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management in Adult Care, or equivalent.
Nursing experience is not essential for this role. With a strong clinical team already established within the home, the priority is finding an exceptional operational leader who can provide direction, accountability and strong overall management.
