We're looking for an experienced, enthusiastic Head Barista / Supervisor to join our friendly, hardworking team.
This is a hands-on role in a small independent café where no two days are the same. We're looking for someone who takes pride in making exceptional coffee, enjoys looking after customers, and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves and help wherever needed.
What you'll be doing:
- Preparing consistently high-quality speciality coffee.
- Delivering warm, friendly customer service.
- Supervising the day-to-day running of the front of house.
- Handling customer queries and resolving complaints professionally and confidently.
- Serving food and drinks.
- Keeping the café clean, organised and well-presented.
- Washing up and maintaining high hygiene standards.
- Supporting the kitchen during busy periods when required.
- Working as part of a small team where everyone pitches in and helps across all areas of the business.
What we're looking for:
- At least 1 year of barista experience.
- At least 1 year of front of house experience.
- Experience in speciality coffee is highly desirable.
- Confidence dialling in coffee, steaming milk and producing consistently excellent drinks.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the confidence to handle customer queries and resolve complaints professionally.
- A positive, proactive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Someone who leads by example and enjoys being part of a close-knit team.
- Reliable, organised and happy to take ownership of their role.
What we offer:
- £13.00 per hour.
- Tuesday to Saturday schedule – enjoy Sundays and Mondays off every week.
- 9:00am – 4:30pm shifts with no late evenings.
- A 2½-week café closure every January, giving the whole team a well-earned break.
