We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Early Years 3rd in Charge and Room Leader to join our childcare team. Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee daily activities within the designated nursery room, ensuring they are engaging, age-appropriate, and aligned with early years curriculum standards
- Supervise and mentor junior staff members, fostering a collaborative team environment
- Maintain high standards of health, safety, and hygiene within the nursery setting
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication and professional conduct
- Assist with administrative duties such as record keeping, planning documentation, and compliance with regulatory requirements
- Drive company policies on safeguarding and behaviour management to ensure a secure environment for all children
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children in a childcare or nursery setting
- Strong management and leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and best practices
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Childcare qualifications recognised within the UK (e.g., Level 3 Early Years Educator or equivalent)
- Valid driving licence is desirable for transporting children or attending external activities
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of childcare legislation
