Maratt Lawn & Garden is looking for a hands on lawn care and mowing specialist ready to take ownership of The Lawn Club – our dedicated lawn treatment and mowing operation – and grow it into a thriving part of the business.
This isn't a “manage from day one” role. You'll start hands-on, delivering treatments and mowing rounds yourself, building standards and increasing our customer base. As the team grows around you, so does your role – moving into full department leadership with P&L ownership, your own team, and a salary to match.
About Maratt
We're a growing, family-run grounds maintenance, landscaping and gardening company based in Sheffield, working across domestic and commercial customers. We take pride in reliable, high-standard work and long-term customer relationships.
What You'll Be Doing
- Delivering and, in time, overseeing lawn treatment visits – fertiliser, weed, moss and pest control programmes
- Planning and running efficient mowing rounds
- Recruiting, training and managing your own team as the department grows
- Owning pricing, margin and performance for the department
- Creating customer-facing content – care guides, before/after photos, social posts – to support marketing
- Keeping accurate records via BigChange, including full pesticide compliance documentation
What We're Looking For
- Hands-on experience in lawn treatment/turf care and/or grounds maintenance mowing
- PA1 & PA6 pesticide certification (or willing to obtain)
- Organised, comfortable with schedules, records and compliance paperwork
- Full UK driving licence
- Confident talking to customers about treatment programmes
- Ready to be hands-on early on, with the ambition to grow into a management role
What You'll Get
- £28,000–£30,000 to start, rising to £34,000–£38,000 as your team is built, and £40,000+ as Head of Department
- Company vehicle and fuel card
- PPE, uniform and tools provided
- 28 days' holiday (pro rata), including bank holidays
- Workplace pension
- Funded training, including PA1/PA2/PA6 qualifications
- A genuine path to running your own department – not just a job title
