Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Minibus Driver to join our friendly and expanding team.
This is for AM and PM roles of 5 hours per day term time only, there is opportunity to work more than this, however this specific role is for 5 hours per day while the schools are in operation.
The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting passengers, safely and in comfort to their destinations while ensuring a high level of customer service.
This role requires excellent driving skills, strong communication abilities, and a commitment to safety. Experience in coach driving is highly valued.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate the bus, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Ensure the comfort and safety of passengers throughout the journey.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the bus is in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate records of routes, passenger counts, and any incidents that occur during transit.
- Assist passengers with boarding and alighting from the bus, providing support as needed.
- Communicate effectively with passengers regarding routes, schedules, and any changes that may occur.
- Follow and adhere to all regulations that are required by being a professional Coach Driver.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driving licence with appropriate endorsements for Coach operation. (Cat D, CPC, Digital Tacho)
- Excellent communication skills to interact positively with passengers and team members.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings or late evenings as required. Able to work every other weekend.
- A commitment to safety and adherence to company policies and procedures at all times.
- Ability to drive any minibus as required.
- Be able to pass an Enhanced DBS check for suitability to work with Children or vulnerable Adults.
